Howdy YAL!
I used to be the blogger called YAL Book Briefs, but I grew bored of the handle and changed my name to Howdy YAL. I also respond to MJ. I like to read, write, eat truffles, and watch bad Lifetime movies.
I'm just going to say it, I think books like this are lazy. Grant it, I haven't read Taking Chances, but I hate, hate, when authors decide to publish the same rubbish but under a different POV. It's still the same story McAdams, McGuire, Meyer, just because you have the scenes in the boy's POV doesn't make it a new story. So yeah, I was tempted to mark this as ca-ching just because I think books like this are obvious cash whore books, but because I was never interested in McAdams melodramatic bad version of One Tree Hill books I don't think I would've picked it up anyway.
